I love The Iron Giant. LOVE. Such a great film. Wonderful characters. Appealing story. Warmth. Heart. You get my drift. Also love to paint and draw him. That it aspires to be like Superman.. well, that just drives it all home for me.
This painting was done in acrylic and watercolour pencils on a primed timber panel mounted on timber arms, using timber cutoffs. You don’t need expensive materials or store bought supplies if you really want to create something. Just use what you can find, and do it. No excuses.
